Full description
Just an hour's flight away from Bali is the mysterious island of Komodo. Travelling to Komodo is an exciting adventure into the world of wildlife.

This is a completely different Indonesia, primitive and untouched. There is no usual infrastructure, cafes and restaurants. It is a reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, spread over three islands: Komodo, Rinca and Padar. Its area is about two thousand square metres along with the surrounding waters.

Many people come to Komodo to see the famous Komodo varanas. But they are not the only thing that the island has to offer. We will pick you up from your hotel in Labuan Bajo and continue our journey not by land, but on board a speedboat that will take us to the mysterious islands of the Komodo Reserve.
We will visit Kanawha Island. It is a small tropical island surrounded by a coral reef. It is a great place for snorkelling and swimming with mantas. Mantas are giant stingrays with a fin spread of up to seven metres. Despite their impressive size, they are friendly and surprisingly graceful. Snorkelling at Kanawa Island Reef will amaze you with the beauty of the underwater world, abundance of corals and marine life.

Next, our journey takes us to Padar Island. We will climb up to the observation deck, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of the island itself and neighbouring Komodo. Padar's topography is rough, with steep volcanic mountains and rolling hills set against a backdrop of turquoise bays. It is surrounded by four bays with paradisiacal sandy beaches of varying shades from white to grey and pink. Surrounded by all this beauty, we will be swimming and snorkelling. Of course, we will not leave out the pearl of our trip - the world famous pink sand beach.

The main point of the tour will be Komodo Island. We will be trekking into the jungle where we will see the legendary Komodo varans, the only surviving direct descendants of dinosaurs on the planet in their natural habitat.

Don't miss the opportunity to embark on the most unforgettable journey of your life with Balilook!
